Adam McCabe

Adam McCabe has often been described as a bilingual, world traveling, soccer enthusiast. With an optimistic, proactive and upbeat personality Adam has an exciting past and an even more adventurous future. Adam currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and works for the greatest sports brand in the world (Nike).

Adam was born in Atlanta, Georgia to a father with a passion for engineering and a mother whose skills lied in IT and Project Management. His parents’ jobs moved the family to Tallahassee, Florida where he grew up on the Eastside of the city. While living in suburbia, Adam developed a passion for soccer, gymnastics, music, and acting. Soccer became Adam's life as he began to play travel soccer with the local club, Tallahassee United Football Club. Soccer was the muse that enabled Adam to travel the world, learn life lessons, and grow and mature into the man he is today.  At the age of thirteen Adam traveled abroad to play soccer in Argentina and ever since then he has had the travel bug. This experience early in his life allowed him to become inspired by what the world and its people had to offer. He fell in love with the idea of the journey and experiences of traveling the world while learning about its different cultures and people. 

At the beginning of his high school career, Adam was recruited to play for a travel soccer club based out of Atlanta, Georgia (Concorde Fire). At the time, Concorde Fire was the best team in Georgia and was sponsored by Nike. This opportunity led Adam to travel all over the United States to play in the biggest youth soccer tournaments, such as the Manchester United Cup at the Nike Headquarters.

Adam always dreamed of playing soccer at a professional level, thus his decision to pursue soccer in college versus a professional level was quite difficult. Initially, Adam decided to attend Vassar College, a small division three university. It was the one university that Adam fell in love with during his college visits and appreciated what it had to offer both academically and athletically. After a short stint with Vassar College, the travel bug and Adam's aspirations took over. Adam left Vassar College and the United States to achieve his dream as a professional soccer player by moving to the United Kingdom and joining a football academy abroad. 

For the past five years, Adam has lived in Europe and Asia playing soccer at a semi-professional and professional level. After beginning his career in the United Kingdom with Eccleshill United, Adam played at different levels with Bradford City Football Club. From the United Kingdom, Adam had short stints in Bangkok, Thailand and in Bratislava, Slovakia. Throughout these five years, Adam discovered many different cultures that helped him learn more about his limits, goals, and life.

Adam returned to the United States in March of 2015 in pursuit of discovering himself outside of the sport that he has loved and played for 20 years of his life. Adam was struggling with an absence inside his soul trying to piece together his true feelings. Furthermore, Adam was motivated to rekindle the lost relationships he once held so dearly with his friends and family. Adam chose to reside in Atlanta, Georgia as it was a great place for him to begin this process of self discovery, while being close to his family. Adam was immediately recruited to work for Nike and continues to be apart of the brand. Adam's first project the day he began his career with Nike was to bring a Nike Run Club to the city of Atlanta. Adam plans to build relations within the Atlanta sporting community and indsutry. He has high hopes to become apart of the Atlanta United Football Club on several different levels.

The film industry in Atlanta, Georgia has experience huge growth and Adam has found many opportunities acting and modeling.  Acting and modeling were once passions of Adam, however due to his constant dedication to soccer he disregarded these other forms of expression. Now he has began to interweave these opportunities in his life as he currently models for Elbert Ivory Models (E.I. Models). Adam continues to grow, learn, love, and mature while finding his new self through these everyday artistic outlets. 

Adam is excited for what this city has to offer him and continues to be open to any and every opportunity that he deems productive. Adam has found love in this magnificent city of the South and continues to learn about him self each and every day. Adam is unsure of the future, if his soccer career is over or if this is just a break. However, Adam continues to challenge himself and find different ways to connect with the new people, artistic outlets, and community he now calls home.
